East Africa is boosts of an equatorial climate so generally the climate here is somewhat constant making it an all year round tourist destination. Tanzania experiences a light rain season starting in November up to March. That season is known as ‘the short rains’, usually not more than a short downpour every day that is followed by patent sunshine. And then from March up to December the weather increasingly becomes warmer with ‘long rains’ being experienced from April to May.

The lodge is Open all throughout the year. The migration season begins in June up to August.

Singita is devoted to creating a sustainable difference to the local communities and to safe guard the environment plus the wildlife. Singita Grumeti provides low tourist density but with a very high concentration of wild animals, hence offering up-close, personal experiences to its guests, Singita Grumeti takes on the Singita idea of ‘touching the earth lightly’. This philosophy highlights the approach of less impact with high value tourism, derived from the values that a small number of visitors will have a minimal impact on the terra firma and its plants and animals, hence benefiting the surroundings.
